The lifeless bodies of two newborn babies abandoned at different locations have been discovered by the Police Command in Ebonyi State. Clearview tv reliably gathered that the dumped babies were boys. They were found at Kpirikpiri Ogbaga Road and the second baby was at Ogbe Hausa, both in Abakaliki metropolis
What these residents of Abakaliki are looking at is the lifeless body of a male baby dumped at a junction
along the Ogbaga road in Abakaliki. While many were expressing shock, others were busy raining curses on the perpetrators. Clearview TV could not immediately confirm if the baby was actually dumped by àn unidentified motor cyclist. Some of the early callers to the scene were operators of non governmental organisations including Grace Chima, Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, Ebonyi State chapter.
The second baby was found lifeless at a refuse dump around the popular Abacha roundabout, Abakaliki. Clearview TV gathered that the baby was also dumped overnight. The two dead babies have since been buried through the combined efforts of the Police, the Ebonyi State Ministry of Women Affairs, and the FIDA.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Loveth Odah described the acts as pure murder and wickedness adding that investigation was ongoing to unravel the suspects.
