Christmas: Wadada Gifts 2,000 Bags Of Rice To Less Privileged

The Chairman, Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Ltd., Alhaji Ahmed Wadada, has distributed 2,000, 10kg bags of rice and other assorted food items to Christians in Nasarawa West Senatorial District to enable them to celebrate Christmas and New Year with ease.

Addressing newsmen while distributing the food items in Keffi, Nasarawa, Wadada said the gesture was aimed at putting smile on the faces of Christians and other faithful during the yuletide.

The PAN boss, who felicitated Christians as they celebrate Christmas, noted that it was a duty of all well-meaning citizens to support the needy, especially during a festive season.

The former two-term member of the House of Representatives, urged Nasarawa people to use the season and pray for an end to insurgency, banditry, kidnappings and communal clashes in Nigeria.

Wadada called on the people of Nasarawa to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity in line with the true teachings of Jesus Christ which emphasise tolerance, patience, brotherly kindness, care for the needy and love for one another.

“The Christmas season presents us an opportunity once more to love, share and forgive. I urge all the people of Nasarawa West Senatorial District, especially the youth, to utilise the period to pray for unity, peace, and prosperity of the nation.

“We must also rededicate ourselves to the true virtues of faith in God, love for one another, honesty, and peaceful co-existence. It is time to make these virtues more evident and practical in our daily lives.”

“Christmas is a time to show love to one another because it is an act of kindness to humanity. I wish you all happy Christmas and a prosperous new year,” Wadada said.

Wadada, who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Keffi, used the occasion to implore the people of Nasarawa to continue to support the programmes and policies of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Yakubu Daniel, expressed gratitude to Wadada for his kind gesture.

Daniel commended Wadada for his continued support for the less privileged in the areas of health, education and empowerment.

“Actually, I don’t know how to express our happiness for this gesture, especially coming at this hard time.

“Most of us were thinking of how to get what to cook for our children and loved ones on Christmas day, then we were called to come over and collect rice from Wadada.

“May the Lord replenish his pocket and account, millions times. He is our saviour in Nasarawa West Senatorial District,” Daniel said.
