Adamawa Police Arrest Three Over Threats To Kidnap Businessmen

The police in Adamawa state have arrested three persons over the attempted kidnap of three businessmen.

Report has it that the suspects had through an unregistered mobile line threatened one Ibrahim Bayo, Abdulkarim Bayo and Bala Hamman, all residents of Mayo Belwa and Ganye local government areas, to give them the sum N10 million or be kidnapped.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said the businessmen later reported threats coming from unknown subscribers using separate phone numbers.

Suleiman said the three suspects, Maigari Adamu, 24; Usman Ali, 20; and Awal Hammawa, 31, were apprehended using the Rescue Me app.

He added that those arrested and their collaborators would be brought to book
