This was his submission when news filtered in that former special duties Minister, George Akume has been named as Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
Batati said the records of this Nigerian Politician were unique as Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration. Batati said Akume was a Senator of note while operating as the Minority Leader from June 2011 to June 2015.
He declared that Akume brought about revolution into governance when he was also the Governor of Benue State from May 1999 to May 2007 recollecting that Under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he was the first Governor to have completed two terms in office in Benue State. Batati wishes Akume a most successful tenure.
