The Department of State Service (DSS) reportedly apprehended Firdausi Musa Ahamadu, a 23-year-old woman, following her alleged threat to commit suicide and harm those she deemed responsible for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Kano, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
An anonymous source confirmed Ahamadu’s arrest on Monday.
In a viral video circulated within the city, the suspect claimed to be supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the NNPP. In the video, Firdausi was heard berating the presiding judge in the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, warning that she wouldn’t hesitate to use a bomb if she encountered her.
Clad in a red cap, Ahamadu also issued a threat to Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the APC gubernatorial candidate, warning him not to disclose his whereabouts, as she expressed willingness to carry out a suicide bombing.
Furthermore, she criticized Vice President Kashim Shettima, holding him responsible for the NNPP’s challenges in Kano’s tribunal.
